Next week the European wind industry meets in Amsterdam for the WindEurope Conference & Exhibition 2017. We move our headquarter from Berlin to Amsterdam :) You can meet the Ammonit team at our stand 1C48 in hall 1. At the WindEurope we present the two new cup anemometers from Thies:
Both cup anemometers have been successfully classified according to IEC 61400-12-1 Edition 2.0 (2017-03). The Thies anemometers are the first cup anemometers with new IEC classification on the market. Do you want to arrange a meeting with us in Amsterdam? The anemometer Thies First Class Advanced II is the first cup anemometer, which has been successfully classified according to IEC 61400-12-1 Edition 2.0 (2017-03) for wind speed assessment. The anemometer shows the best in class tilt response and excellent behaviour at high turbulence intensity. The small distance constant, minimal overspeeding and the low starting velocity underline the dynamic behaviour of the anemometer. Additionally, the anemometer ball bearings have been further improved for accurate wind speed measurement even at low temperatures. The IEC classification has been performed with and without anemometer heating.
Available at the beginning of 2018. |

The anemometer Thies First Class Advanced X has also performed a successful IEC classification. Benefit from the RS485 output (Modbus) and its bus compatibility. Hence, the anemometer measures not only horizontal wind speed, but also:
The sensor integrates automatic correction of wind speed measurement values depending on air pressure and air temperature. Both variables slightly influence the rotation of the cup star. Thus the anemometer output covers original measurement values as well as corrected measurement values. A further advantage of the anemometer is the feature to save slope and offset calibration values. The IEC classification has been performed with and without anemometer heating.
Available at the beginning of 2018. |
